Racism is a public health crisis.
"If being a racist horrible person is considered normal... [people] will grow up thinking that it is completely fine to be biased and prejudiced against people of color." - Megan Mehta
The key to exterminating racism is to actively have open conversation about racism in America, and call out inappropriate behaviors in our daily lives. Until we actively stand against racism in our daily lives, racism will persist. Prejudiced behaviors and attitudes cannot become "normal."
"If [change] is not gonna happen, we are going to do it ourselves." - Alexis Bondarenko
The significance of educating oneself about racism and voting for progressive politicians and policies cannot be understated. Voting is the best way to actively change the system.
